COST AND INSURANCE COVERAGE
The cost of a vasectomy is $650
This amount includes the phone consultation, the vasectomy procedure, a jock strap for the recovery period, and the semen sample check 3 months after.

BEFORE THE PROCEDURE
Vasectomy is a minor procedure, but many people feel anxious about it. Before you come in, we suggest taking a long, hot shower to relax, using plenty of soap. Make sure you have several cold packs in the freezer. You may find it more comfortable to wear snug underwear or a jockstrap.
DURING THE PROCEDURE
You'll be awake during the procedure, but won't feel a thing. Local numbing medicine is used at the site of the procedure. Calming music is played during the procedure, and you'll be able to hear and communicate if you wish to. The procedure itself takes 25 minutes.
AFTER THE PROCEDURE
You'll be numb for 1-2 hours after the vasectomy. Your job after the procedure is to apply cold packs and to relax as much as possible for the rest of the day. (Good movies or audio books are a good way to pass the time.) If you have any pain or discomfort, take over-the-counter pain relievers as directed.
